A Donegal childcare representative has welcomed the €15 million funding program which will facilitate participation of children with special needs in pre-school education.
Avril McMonagle, manager of Donegal County Childcare said that the funding will solve an issue that has been a problem in Donegal for a number of years.
McMonagle also welcomed the announcement of a second free pre-school year for children.
However, she said that this is not the most targeted means of supporting working families while no earlier supports are in place.
