Giraffe Childcare Lucan

Giraffe Childcare Lucan is situated in the heart of a residential area and is a purpose-designed crèche located beside Ben Dunne’s Gym at Ballyowen Lane. Our crèche has 7 spacious rooms, all brightly decorated and arranged to offer each child the chance to explore and investigate their environment with lots of opportunities to enjoy messy play and art activities. We offer a broad curriculum underpinned by Aistear and Siolta frameworks encouraging children to learn the skills that they need to develop in to become confident, happy learners.

We care for babies and children up to 5 years with both full, part-time and ECCE places available. We also provide a vibrant afterschool service, providing after school care for children up to the age of 12 years with drop off and collection arrangements with 5 local schools.

There is a large garden to the front of the building and another to the rear of the building. The children are encouraged to engage in plenty of growing activities in the gardens and enjoying plenty of time doing outdoor activities.

Our Cook provides delicious and nutritious freshly cooked meals that encourage your
 child to taste as many new things as possible and help introduce them to the wonderful world of food. Our kitchen uses only the freshest meat and seasonable vegetables, we don’t add any salt, artificial flavourings or colouring and all our stock is home made. We’re happy to cater for vegetarian diets and any other dietary requirements your child may have.

All our staff are Garda vetted and have a minimum qualification of Fetac Level 5.
