Community Childcare services in Kilrush and Kilkee are set to resume early next month.
Following agreement between and the Clare Local Development Company a target date of the 3rd of May has been set for the re-opening of the creches, and enrollment evenings will be held this Thursday and Friday.
Kilkee and Kilrush were two areas affected by the shock closure of the West Clare Early Years Services in February, with the loss of 400 childcare places and over 50 jobs.
Sorcha Daly of the West Clare Community Childcare Action Group earlier says the imminent return of childcare facilities comes as a great relief to parents after a lot of hard work locally.
